Lynette Carlson, DHSc, ATC

Lynette Carlson, DHSc, ATC, is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has been a Certified Athletic Training since 2000, working in a variety of practice settings, from clubs and high schools to the WNBA. Her passion for education led her to Midwestern University, where she earned a Doctorate in Health Sciences in 2015.

Lynette’s clinical practice focuses on Active Release Techniques®, prevention, and concussion management. She also has a special interest in pre-hospital emergency medicine and works with Sports Medicine Concepts.

In her free time, Lynette enjoys spending time outdoors and volunteering as the Treasurer of Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga and being a committee member for The Book of Life Conference. She also serves on the CAATE Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and Leadership Development Committee and is excited to share her passion for creative and engaging pedagogy.
